About
I'm Jay.
I'm a founder based in Cambridge. Most of my work sits somewhere between building software, understanding difficult problems, and figuring out whether they can become meaningful companies.
I run Journai, where we build AI systems and software for businesses that need more than off-the-shelf tools. And I'm building Journai Health, a longer bet on clinical information: longitudinal context, interoperability, and AI that clinicians can inspect rather than simply trust.
Before founding Journai I spent a year in bioinformatics and software development. That placement made one thing clear: in health and science, careless software is not a cute failure mode. It taught me to stay close to the domain.
I also care about the maker side of things. Local AI. Hardware. Infrastructure. Prototypes that may never become products, but sharpen judgement.
I want to build a public identity around entrepreneurship and AI over the long term. This site is part of that. Quietly.
